Happy birthday, Juliana

My daughter Juliana whom I haven’t seen for more than ten years will celebrate her 21st birthday today. I wish you all good luck in your life and much success with your studies. I wish I could congratulate you in person. But be assured that you are not forgotten. I’ll keep trying to find you. And sooner or later I will. I love you, my little one.

Afterthought: Cyberpunk Summit in Wuppertal

As with many events of this kind the writers had hoped for a larger audience. This time the number of listeners equalled that of the writers. Those listeners who came, however, put some efforts into it and showed a remarkable perceptiveness and endurance. Thanks for that. It was, I think, an interesting evening with a lot of good stories. And of course it’s always fun and uplifting to meet the guys and gals again.

I have to thank my fellow writers Gabriele Behrend, Christian Günther, Frank Hebben, Olaf Kemmler (replacing Niklas Peinecke who had to cancel due to time constraints), Thorsten Küper and Uwe Schimunek for having followed my invitation. Thorsten posted some impressions of the evening on his blog.

“Smart Matter” published in Phantastisch! #46

My short story “Smart Matter” has just been published in the issue 46 of Phantastisch!., one of the leading German science fiction magazines. It’s a rather untypical story for me, a short and, I hope, funny dialogue piece about a man who offers a unique service to an industrial manufacturer.

Visitors of my Second Life readings may remember this story. It was presented in December in a scenic reading in Thorsten Küper’s and Kirsten Riehl’s steampunk location Kafé Kruemelkram.

Cyberpunk Summit in Wuppertal: Location move

All those who consider to visit our Cyberpunk group reading in Wuppertal. please note that, due to some unforeseen circumstances, the location had to be moved. The event will now take place in

Antiquariat Hösterey, Marienstraße 17, Wuppertal-Elberfeld

This is just two and a half minute per pedes from the initially planed location, so we hope the move is not too tough for our fans.
